Favourite Photographers:: Lewis Hine (1874 -1940), documentary photographer who used his camera as a tool for social reform. His emotional and evocative photographs were instrumental in changing the child labour laws in the US. In the 1920s and early 1930s, he made a series of 'work portraits' which emphasized the human contribution to modern industry.
Mathew Brady (1822 - 1896), best known for his documentation of the American Civil War.
