New Lee filters photo book
Inspiring Professionals 2 is an update from its predecessor in how to creatively use Lee filters to produce great shots.
The book gives helpful tips and ideas on how to apply different Lee filters to digital photography, accompanied by a variety of photographs to demonstrate the diversity of the lenses. The book features work by some of our favourite faces including Joe Cornish and Tom Mackie. The book is divided into different themes for shooting, such as mountains, coast and ice to name but a few. The book is available now and can be purchased for just under £13.

Press release:
Following the success of its first book, Inspiring Professionals, Lee Filters is pleased to announce the publication of Inspiring Professionals 2. Continuing where the first book left off, Inspiring Professionals 2 is beautifully designed and lavishly illustrated with photographs that demonstrate the creative potential of filters – underlining the fact that they remain as relevant as ever in today’s digital world.
A hardback publication produced in collaboration with nine of the UK’s best-known and most highly respected photographers – Joe Cornish, Mark Denton, Paul Gallagher, John Gravett, Tom Mackie, David Noton, Charlie Waite, Jeremy Walker and David Ward – Inspiring Professionals 2 is divided into chapters based around the themes of buildings, coast, handheld, travel, mountains, sky, snow, ice and water.
In each chapter, the contributing photographers demonstrate in a clear, accessible manner how the use of one or more filters can help replicate what they see in front of them at the moment of capture – saving valuable time and, importantly, keeping post production to a minimum. The result? More time spent in the field making images. Each photograph is illustrated with a diagram showing the placement of the selected filters, while the captions explain clearly what the photographer intended to capture – and how the filter helped them achieve their vision.
The book also features a number of Technical Articles on topics as diverse as understanding colour, composition, stitched panoramas and unconventional uses of an ND grad, making it a must-read for any photographer who is interested in balancing their creativity with technical know-how.
The book is available from Lee Filters dealers or direct from Lee Filters at a cost of £12.50 plus post and packaging.
