Nikon COOLPIX P7700

Nikon has announced a new line in its COOLPIX range of compact cameras.

 

Nikon COOLPIX P7700:
First on the list is the new Nikon COOLPIX P7700, a compact camera that is said to have a fast lens and vari-angle monitor.

The P7700 offers a f/2.0-4.0 NIKKOR 7.1x optical zoom lens, a large 1/1.7-inch, back-illuminated 12-MP CMOS sensor, lens shift vibration reduction, Full 1080p HD movie mode, RAW file format and a 7.5 cm (3.0-in.) vari-angle LCD monitor. It also has flexible high-speed continuous shooting: choose from three different continuous mode rates of 8fps (for up to 6 frames), 4fps (for up to 6 frames) and 1fps (for up to 30 frames).

James Loader, Product Manager for Consumer Products at Nikon UK, said, “With its premium features and fast, bright lens, the COOLPIX P7700 is a surprisingly compact camera. The lens has a broad 28-200mm focal range and fast f/2.0-4.0 aperture, working with the highly sensitive 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor to deliver clear, detailed images in any light, whilst the new vari-angle LCD monitor gives you a unique perspective on your shot, whether you are shooting stills or video.”

The COOLPIX P7700 is available in black with a RRP: £499.99 / €609.00 and sales start 27 September 2012.

 

 

The COOLPIX S01:
Smaller than a credit card, the S01 is designed to be more compact and fashionable than other models.

 

The S01 comes in red, mirror, white, black or pink and has a 3x optical zoom wide-angle NIKKOR lens, 6.2cm (2.5”) touchscreen, 10.1 MP CCD image sensor, 7.3GB internal memory and 720p HD movie mode.

James Loader said, “This sleek, lightweight ultra-compact camera is ideal for stylish people looking to capture stunning images. With top-end technology including a wide-angle 3x optical zoom lens and 10.1-megapixel image sensor, this little camera will not fail to impress.

He adds: “The touch screen is responsive and easy to use, so there’s plenty of fun to be had - especially when applying special effects to movies or photos. Not only is the camera a super-stylish fashion accessory, it’s also a miniature photo and movie expert.”

It can store up to 3,000 images at full resolution or 3 hours of video in VGA quality in the camera, 10.1-MP CCD image sensor, HD movie (720p), high ISO (up to 1600)

The S01 comes at a RRP: £149.99 / €179.00 and sales start 27 September 2012.

 

 

COOLPIX S6400:
The COOLPIX S6400 is operated by a 7.5cm (3.0-in.) touch screen, 16-megapixel, backlit CMOS sensor and12x wide-angle optical zoom NIKKOR lens.

 

James Loader said, “The COOLPIX S6400 combines easy-to-use functionality with stylish good looks. Easy Auto Modes allow you to concentrate on framing your subject, whilst the camera does all the hard work. Small and compact, the new camera is ideal for slipping in your pocket or handbag for a night out or when travelling. Available in five colours, there is a colour to suit every personality.”

The S6400 has a 7.5cm (3.0-in.) 460k-dot, wide LCD touchscreen and Nikon’s Clear Color Display anti-reflection coating. It also has full HD (1080p) movie recording with stereo sound, which is functional with the 12x lens. There are also 20 Scene Modes, Lens-Shift VR, ISO (up to 3200), Panorama 360° or 180°

The COOLPIX S6400 comes in five colours: black, red, silver, purple and blue, standing at RRP: £229.99 / €279.00 and the sales date will be 20 September 2012.

 

 

 

COOLPIX S800c:
This camera is powered by an Android operating system and connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi to download any application from Google Play.

 

It has a 10x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, back-illuminated 16-MP CMOS sensor and high-resolution 8.7cm (3.5-in) OLED touch screen.

James Loader said, “The COOLPIX S800c is a stylish, premium camera that acts smart and has been designed to enhance connectivity for photographers. The COOLPIX S800c helps you to capture a stunning image and then allows you to instantly share them via social media platforms, extending your experiences to friends and family. As soon as you’ve got your shot, you simply tap the screen to upload to Facebook, Twitter or to send via email, for example. With its 1080p Full HD movies, high quality stills even in low light and ability to edit and share instantly, you can really have some fun with this camera.”

The S800c has a NIKKOR wide-angle 10x optical zoom lens (25–250mm) with ED glass, Android OS to download apps from Google Play and access social media updates. The camera also has a high resolution 8.7cm (3.5-in) OLED (819K-dot) touch screen with wide viewing angle.

It also comes with Wi-Fi, GPS, HD (1080p) movie with stereo sound, Lens-shift Vibration Reduction, High ISO (up to 3200), Panorama 360°or 180° and 1.7GB of internal memory for pictures and movies and 680MB for applications.

The COOLPIX S800c comes in two colours: white and black at RRP: £379.99 / €459.00 and will be on sale 27 September 2012.
