Leading sports photographer announces restaurant exhibition
Award winning sports photographer Bob Martin will be showcasing a collection of images at London restaurant Quaglino's ahead of the Olympics from 19 July.
Entitled ‘1000th: a Bob Martin retrospective’, the exhibition which will take place in the restaurant based in St James, will display a varied mix of images which have been handpicked by the photographer, including previous Olympics, Paralympics and sporting events from around the globe.
Martin specialises in shooting action, graphic and editorial pictures, and since his 30 year career began, he has captured every major sporting event including the last thirteen Summer and Winter Olympics. His portfolio ncludes images of sporting heroes including Tiger Woods, Usain Bolt and Venus and Serena Williams.
Bob has been recognised by over 57 national and international awards and is a three-time winner of the prestigious British Sports Photographer of the Year. Most recently he won ‘Illustrated Book of the Year’ in the British Sports Book Awards 2012, and first place in the ‘Sports Action’ category at the US-based NPPA’s (National Press Photographer’s Association) ‘Best of Photojournalism 2012’ Awards.
Bob's exhibition is the fifth in line of an ongoing series of Quaglino’s collaborations with talented photographers.
