Bowens launch groundbreaking new flash heads

Bowens

A groundbreaking new Bowens’ flash head range is set to be launched by CT Distribution with built-in radio triggering.

The multi award-winning Gemini range now includes new 200Rx and 400Rx units - dubbed ‘the most versatile monolights on the market today’ - and provides built-in radio triggering for the first time in the company’s compact, lightweight models.

Robert Cook, Bowens’ Marketing Director said: “Until now the built-in radio triggering option has only been available in the Gemini Classic, Gemini R and Gemini Pro ranges, via an optional plug-in Pulsar radio receiver card. Now we have introduced this option in our compact and lightweight 200Ws and 400Ws models - plus, we’ve gone one step better and integrated the Pulsar radio receiver right in to the circuitry to ensure the most reliable connection. The two units can be triggered via the Gear of the Year award-winning Pulsar Tx Transmitter, mounted on the user’s camera.” He added: “This added functionality, coupled with the ability of the entire Gemini range to be powered via mains or battery, makes Gemini Rx units the most versatile monolights available today.”

Terry Caws, national sales manager at CT Distribution said: “The original Gemini 400 model has proved itself to be one of the most popular pieces of equipment on the market, and these new units offer photographers optimal wireless creative freedom in lightweight units. The built-in radio receiver is easily controlled via a simple single push button and allows full control over 24 different radio zones, using four channels and six studio settings, enabling photographers to isolate various light sources, or combine them to fire simultaneously without ever leaving the camera.”

The new Gemini Rx models are available as individual units or as a bundled lighting kit, which includes a Pulsar Tx radio transmitter, lighting stands, softboxes and a newly designed rolling kit case. Bowens Travelpak options are also available.

Kits start from £800 RRP (inc VAT).
