Photographer of the Year announced by British Institute of Professional Photography

The British Institute of Professional Photography has named its Photographer of the Year and announced winners of more than 40 other awards for creative professionals.

Richard Mayfield FIBPP, who is Creative Director for Venture UK, was awarded BIPP Photographer of the Year for his 'Lisa' image and scooped nine other awards during the BIPP Professional Photography Awards on Friday 16 March.

Gold awards were also presented in the categories Architecture (Jose Luis Guardia Peinado ABIPP MQEP), Fashion, Hair and Beauty (Anton Artemenkov FBIPP), Landscape (Peter Lik FBIPP), Photojournalism (Laura Haskell LBIPP), Wedding (Jacqui Matthews ABIPP), Richard Mayfield FBIPP (Fashion, Hair and Beauty) and Gerry Coe FBIPP (Fine Art).

The BIPP Professional Photography Awards are a showcase for professional photographers, celebrating some of the best work from the UK and internationally.

BIPP President Roy Meiklejon FBIPP said “these awards acknowledge the achievements, sheer skill and dedication of professional photographers, and these photographers have produced some wonderful images”.
