Bananastudio to run free open day

Bananastudio will be hosting a free open day in December, showcasing Calumet products, demos and guest photographers

Calumet will be showcasing some of the latest equipment at the open day and visitors will have an opportunity to speak to the regional account manager about any equipment questions they have and the chance to purchase some new equipment in time for Christmas.

There will also be lighting demos from guest photographers and Fyzal Kirk, North East BIPP Photographer of the Year 2011 and Wedding Photographer of the Year 2011, will attend the event with a sample of his portfolio and will be around to answer any workflow and editing questions.

Karl Shaw, a regular contributor to Professional Photographer magazine, will also be at the event giving lighting demos.

Professional models from Bohomodels will be available for photographing in the lighting set-ups and help and advice will be available. There will also be a chance to shoot on the Hassleblad H3 D39 on the day, and there will be Bowens, Lencarta and continuous lighting for use on the day.

Subscription offers from Professional Photographer magazine will also be available on the day as well as a Bananastudio student discount card, available to all photography students in the area, which gives discounted hire rates and workshop rates.

There will be a private collection of original posters from the Helmut Newton Exhibition 1975 Private Property on display in the studio.

Free refreshments will be available throughout the day and the event is free to attend. Opening times are between 10am and 5pm on 1 December 2012 at Bananstudio in Newcastle NE1 2QE.
