2012 LENS Festival

LENS festival

The National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth will be holding its LENS Festival to celebrate the work of two famous Welsh photographers.

On 23 and 24 November the National Library of Wales at Aberystwyth host their 2012 LENS Festival in honour the life and work of pioneering teachers of Photography Ifor and Joy Thomas. The pair, from South Wales, met at the Royal College of Art in the 1930s and after the war set up the iconic School at Guildford.

Alumni include Jane Bown, Tessa Traeger, Adam Woolfitt, Julia Hedgecoe and the late Professor John Hedgecoe (RCA), Dr. Jack Tait (Manchester and Derby) and
Penny Tweedie.

Tickets:
Friday Evening Only £5
Friday Evening and Saturday £15 (£10 NUS/UMCA)
