Pentax Optio WG1-GPS Shiny Orange

An eye-catching orange version of the GPS-equipped waterproof digital compact camera for outdoor enthusiasts

Pentax Imaging Systems is pleased to announce the addition of a new Shiny Orange version to the PENTAX Optio WG-1 GPS waterproof digital compact camera range.

Since its market launch in March 2011, the Optio WG-1 GPS has been exceptionally well received by a broad range of photographers thanks to its ability to couple dependable performance under demanding outdoor conditions —— with unique GPS functions such as the recording and storage of positioning log data during travelling.

The new Shiny Orange version was designed in response to strong demand by outdoor enthusiasts. It features a high quality finish in brilliant-orange with an aluminium-alloy front panel to give the camera a vibrant, glossy appearance. A gunmetal-grey rubber coating has also been applied to the edge of the camera body to further accentuate the brilliance of the sparkling orange colour. The total design scheme has been carefully conceived to complement outdoor-oriented fashions and lifestyles.

The Optio WG1-GPS is also available in green and grey and includes the following features:

Waterproof to 10 metres – Shockproof to 1.5 metres – Coldproof to -10°C – Dustproof – Crushproof to 100kg
14 Megapixels – 5x wide-angle optical zoom – geotagging – 3’’ LCD Screen – HD Movie – 1cm macro – AF Tracking.

The Shiny Orange Optio WG1-GPS will be available beginning of August 2011, at the RRP of £299.99.
