Olympus launch new super zoom

Olympus have done it again, with the launch of yet another category-busting new camera series. After the Olympus PEN revolution and the XZ-1 compact with the ZUIKO lens comes the groundbreaking new “Super Zoom” SZ Series. On the outside, the SZ-10 is stunning to look at. On the inside, it has room for one of the most powerful zooms ever in a true compact camera and the state-of-the-art features that tech lovers crave. It packs an impressive 18x wide optical zoom lens, 14 Megapixels and a raft of innovations that deliver superb image quality for HD movies and stills. The SZ-10 is a must-have for people who like moving and shooting 24/7 – and refuse to compromise on image quality and wireless connectivity just because they have a camera that’s small and stylish.

The SZ-10 is available for £199.99 from February 2011.

Super Zoom
In the compact camera category, the SZ-10’s outstanding 18x wide optical zoom is a true eye-opener. Thanks to world-class Olympus optics, users enjoy unheard-of flexibility with their choice of shot. With its effortless zoom performance, the SZ-10 captures distant subjects that normal compacts simply can’t reach in any detail, like the sweat on a bungee jumper’s brow or the spectacular plumage of a bird on a tree. At the same time, it offers the flexibility to zoom out wide, for example to get everybody into a big group portrait.

Super high-tech
The Olympus SZ-10 is bursting with the smartest technology the compact camera world has to offer, giving users a host of features that make it easy to get creative and capture just the shot they want – in excellent 14 Megapixel quality. With innovations like 3D photo shooting and Magic Filters, it’s fun to get creative and take photos that really stand out from the crowd. What’s more, most of the eight Magic Filters can even be applied to HD movies as well as still photos, including new Watercolour. Sharing and storing shots is easy, too. Thanks to Eye-Fi card compatibility; as soon as it’s in range the camera can automatically upload new images wirelessly to a computer or favourite website.

Super style
Regular compact cameras tend to look quite cute at first glance, but disappoint when it comes to the features that matter. The SZ-10 isn’t like that. With its outstanding spec, there’s absolutely no doubting its state-of-the-art imaging credentials. And you wouldn’t call it cute. The design is nothing short of drop-dead beautiful.

The SZ-10 is available in black or silver for £199.99 from February 2011.
