Channel Five & Panasonic Get Picture Perfect

How To Take Stunning Pictures

Panasonic have teamed up with Channel Five for brand new advertiser-funded programme commission How To Take Stunning Pictures, an instructional series offering expert tips and advice for capturing professional-quality images, it was announced today.

The 6 x 60 min series – produced by Blink Films - is presented by The Gadget Show’s Suzi Perry and sees the world’s top photographers teach tricks of the trade to amateur snappers.

Each programme focuses on a different theme; portrait, action, celebration, landscape, holidays and animals. Photography master classes will be provided by Martin Parr, famous for his unique photographs of the great British holiday; top celebrity photographer Harry Borden; award-winning wildlife photographer Tim Flach; wedding photographer of the year Emily Quinton; Sports photographer of the year Bob Martin and top landscape photographer Charlie Waite. After learning from the best in the business, the amateur photographers will be sent on assignments to see if they can produce a truly standout image.

The series will be sponsored by Lumix, Panasonic’s range of photographic cameras and will also be available to view on Panasonic’s IPTV service Vieracast. Panasonic will receive branding on Channel Five’s dedicated How To Take Stunning Pictures website and on episodes viewed via the broadcaster’s on demand platform, Demand Five. Additionally Blink Films have produced a series of Panasonic branded short films featuring more tips on how to take stunning pictures which will be exclusively available on Panasonic and Channel Five’s websites.

The partnership was brokered by advertiser-funded programming specialist sales agent Krempelwood and Panasonic’s media agency Vizeum.

Five’s Head Of Factual, Andrew O’Connell, said: “This fun and informative series appeals to photographers at all levels, regardless of expertise. Everyone has a camera and wants to take stunning pictures. It’s fantastic to feature world-renowned photographers who will share their skills and top tips.”

Managing Director of Blink Films, Dan Chambers, said: “What’s exciting about this series is that we’ve got Britain’s top photographers to give really useful advice on taking great pictures. Watching the rough cuts has certainly improved my recent snaps.”

Panasonic’s Sponsorship Manager, David Bonney, said: “Panasonic’s Lumix cameras are all about helping people take better photographs. This programme will inspire people to get even more from their cameras.”

How To Take Stunning Pictures is produced by Blink Films for Channel Five. Executive Producers are Dan Chambers, Debbie Searle and Stephen Marsh.
