March Issue

Photography Monthly March Issue

This Month

This month’s Pro Zone features fashion and beauty photographer Clive Booth and his very personal approach to shooting landscapes with portrait lenses in Land Grab on page 26.

South African car photographer Dylan Laubscher gives us his secrets on making any car look like a super car, both in the magazine and in an exclusive film on our website in Fast and Furious on page 36 and California-based Ric Frazier shows us how to get great pictures of swimmers underwater on page 25.

When it comes to capturing wildlife, few are as well informed, acclaimed or experienced as our Wildlife Master Ben Osborne. His work covers many areas of wildlife, but for this issue, he focuses on photographing seabirds in Head in The Clouds on Page 47. Regular contributing master Neil Turner returns this month with tips on how to work with
the latest Litepanels and flash in Man at Work on Page 54.

Every one of us who uses a digital camera owes a massive thanks to George E?Smith and Willard Boyle — the original inventors of the digital sensor. They have just received a Nobel Prize in Physics for their work, and are profiled in Start Making Sensor on page 71.

Our A-Z of photography continues this month with letters I-L on page page 65, as does our Film School, where this month Film Master John Campbell looks at camera technique and how to frame your shots on page 81.

And the members of the Cheltenham Camera Club are getting ready for their annual exhibition in Snow Show on Page 74.

This month, gadget guru Darren Tossell deals with card readers and digital disc storage on page 86 in digital darkroom.

We’re also testing backpacks as well as the Pentax K-x for both film and stills!

With all this plus our usual expert help and advice when creating post production effects, the latest news from the photographic world, I think you’ll agree you’ve got a pretty full package of inspiration and information for the coming month.
