Joby launch the GorillaTORCH

Gorillatorch one

Features include a 360° high powered directional light, flexible leg joints with rubberized grips, magnetized feet for maximum flexibility and a fully adjustable dimmer for energy conservation.

Joby, the world renowned designer of the Gorillapod™ line of innovative camera tripods, is pleased to announce the Gorillatorch™. Expanding the Joby family of unique, creativity-inspiring solutions for the consumer, the Gorillatorch casts a focused beam of intense light and allows you to illuminate any target, hands-free. Straying away from traditional flashlight design, the Gorillatorch is mounted on Joby’s award-winning bendable and flexible legs comprised of medical-grade ABS plastic and German TPE rubber. Combined with its powerful magnetic feet, the Gorillatorch will grip to virtually anything.

The Gorillatorch’s lamp is powered by the three AA batteries, which are not included in the packaging and allows the user to dictate brightness with the easy slide dimmer feature. Choose maximum power for 65 lumens of white LED light or turn the knob for more delicate or energy-saving applications. Its compact and lightweight design allows for easy storage in a kitchen drawer or camping backpack.

“The Gorillatorch finally corrects the obvious flaws in flashlight design we have all dealt with for years,” said Joby Vice President International Sales, Sandro Fulgheri. “Whether you need some hands-free light in the attic, under the hood of the car, on a hike, or in your studio, the Gorillatorch’s applications are as numerous as your imagination will allow. I can’t wait to see the many still undiscovered applications for the Gorillatorch our incredibly creative customers come up with.”

The Gorillatorch weighs under 197 gram, is 20 centimeters tall, has a suggested retail price of £29.99 including VAT.

The product will be available from Amazon from October.
