Win a trip to Bhutan

Steve Winters

Transitions lenses and the National Geographic Society have partnered to offer photographers the chance to win a trip to Bhutan.

Photographers are invited to submit their most intriguing, inspiring or striking images in three categories: life in colours, nature, and people and culture. The competition opens on 6 April and runs until 31 May.

The grand-prize winner will visit the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan during a 13-day expedition in October with National Geographic photographer, Chris Rainier and have the opportunity to shoot images of temples, villages untouched by time, and the towering Himalayas. Four runners up will receive digital SLR cameras.

Enties may be submitted via the competition website, which can be found at, transitions.com

Steve Winter, renowned National Geographic photographer and BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2008 will judge the contest. Winners will be notified in July 2009.
