PDF: Essential Photo techniques explained

April Cover

Remember when you first started taking pictures? I can. I went out with my first SLR (a Miranda Automex III) with so many photographic techniques racing around my head that I didn’t know which one to use when.

Inevitably, I ended up with a right load of dross! It’s for that very reason that when we hatched a plan for this second in a series of three beginner-friendly supplements, we wanted to cover all the key photographic techniques that no selfrespecting snapper should be without.

Contained within these pages are, among other things, the secrets to depth-of-field, the facts you need to know for great composition and a demystification of apertures and shutter speeds. If you’re new to picture-taking, this supplement will have you taking better pictures in no time. If you’re an old photographic hand, this is a great opportunity to brush up on your techniques.
