Burnham-on-Sea
Built in 1832, the wooden lighthouse on the beach at Burnham-on-Sea is still operational today. It stands on nine wooden stilts which, on sunny days, cast shadows across the sand early and late in the day. It’s a great location at any time of the year but make sure you get there soon after high tide when the sand is clean and pools of water can be used to capture reflections.(Picture by Edwardes)
