Alum Bay

Not only are the cliffs here made of the world famous ‘coloured sands’, which range from deep reds and browns to bright yellows and oranges, the bay also commands stunning views of the Needles. The setting sun enhances the rocks beautifully and in winter the sun setting silhouettes the Needles wonderfully. (Picture by Steve Gascoigne)
