The Seven Sisters
The South Downs end abruptly at the Seven Sisters where the sheer chalk cliffs plunge into the Channel. Mid summer is the best time to photograph this icon of the English landscape. The sun sets in its northernmost position casting dramatic shadows across the cliff faces, revealing hidden textures and contours. Seaford Head is the best viewpoint. (Picture by Guy Edwardes)
