Howden Dam
The highest and most remote of the three reservoirs in the Upper Derwent Valley, Howden Dam is one of the famous dams used by the Dambusters in the Second World War for their practice runs. For reflection shots like this, you need to pick a windless, autumn day. At weekends, the access road beyond Ladybower is closed. (Picture by Geoff Simpson)
