This Is Art!

Looking around Lincolnshire in the summer, it’s easy to get inspired to capture some of the county’s beauty on camera. If you’ve got an idea for a photograph, you could win a fantastic prize from a new This Is Art! competition

Chris Heighton, Arts Development Officer said: “This is Art! is a campaign taking place across Lincolnshire to encourage people to get involved in the arts, and to raise awareness of the activities that make up the arts. One of the most accessible arts is photography, so we want you to show us your wonderful pictures.”

The competition will run until 27 August, and first prize is £500 worth of vouchers for London Camera Exchange, with two runner-up vouchers of £250. Enough to keep any budding photographer happy.

The theme is 'this is art' and you can interpret it anyway you wish. It could be a landscape, building, street art, people, sculpture, you name it. It it's unique and artistic, and capture your definition of art, then we want to see it.
Photographs must be taken around Lincolnshire. You can submit up to two photos in digital or hard copy (unfortunately no photos can be returned). Before you enter make sure you read the full terms and conditions.

You can find information and entry forms for the competition attached, and at your Lincolnshire libraries. You can even enter online at www.thisisartlincs.org. We are looking forward to seeing your photo’s, so send them in to us – and make it snappy!
