Then and Now Photo competition

Now: Noel Taylor, Barry Island, Wales

Dead Art? Then and Now Photo competition – Win £1,000!

The Memorial Awareness Board (MAB) and StoneGuard Memorial Insurance have teamed up to celebrate the beauty of stone memorials in the UK, and are inviting photographers, professional and amateurs, across the UK to capture the essence of memorialisation.

Through the ages headstones have honoured those passed as a tribute of their life, and are lasting works of art in memory of a loved one lost.

For your chance to win £1,000 you must enter two (2) photos that best capture the beauty of stone memorials, then and now.

How it works:
Both images must contain a stone memorial – images can be in colour, black & white or one of each.

The Then photo should represent memorials as history

The Now must be a modern headstone

  2. It doesn't necessarily have to be a burial headstone. The idea for the competition is to show the beauty of stone memorials. Many people now purchase stone plaques for cremations to give them a place to remember their loved ones even if they have not had a traditional burial. These memorials can be equally as beautiful, and are also accepted in our competition.

    Thank you for your interest.
